When you’re in your element and have absolutely no where to turn to, the only way to survive is in E.N. These people have the ability to control the four main elements that control the world. However, society does not approve. Their disapproval is strong and Elemental Nature is there only haven. Perhaps though, they might always be on the run.

Celeste is one of the most highly credited socialites, and very well respected. Unlike most of the other aristocrats Celeste wasn’t simply handed the title, she worked for it. Now she works for the government as a personal advisor to the President of the East Government. People in the public connect with her humble beginnings. And people of her same ranking try to understand her. Her motivation for working her way up to the position she has now is not for the hate of Anti Benders, like most others. In fact, she has completely nothing against Benders. Celeste finds them interesting. They fact that they’re able to control one of the four elements on Earth is completely amazing to her. Though, she’s never seen one she’d love to meet one.

No, her motivation for working for the government wasn’t the Benders. In fact, she never had motivation for working for the government. She had been forced into it. When she was 17 years old, she had worked for a local newspaper. Journalism had always been a passion of hers. Investigative journalism was her specialty. Her drive had always helped her uncover things she had never known. While Celeste worked on the local newspaper, the newspaper had started getting much more reception from people and started getting a broader audience. In her second year, the newspaper was at its height of popularity in years. Her style of writing and stories had a way of compelling people into reading them, and seriously considering the aspects she has put into the written piece. Though, it wasn’t any of the investigative journalism Celeste would’ve rather preferred, her job wasn’t too bad. Just as she was finally comfortable with the idea of staying at the rather small newspaper company, a national newspaper had phoned her.

They offered her a larger sum of money, and a rather comfortably large office. Celeste had considered declining the offer; she had never really been the type to materialize. But a thought had occurred to her. Working for a much larger newspaper would give more of an opportunity to pursue the investigative pieces she’s always wanted to do. With some hesitation and much excitement, she gladly accepted the job offer. As she continued to work for the national paper, Celeste had become interested in the four individual Governments. She began to wonder how each government worked, and why all four had agreed to push out the Benders instead of solving the poverty that had happened in the past 13 years. As she uncovered more about each government, the more the East Government had realized her pieces in the national paper were starting to change peoples’ minds. They started to carefully monitor her movements.

One night, Celeste had snuck into the government records. From her experience of investigative journalism and working on a national newspaper, she had gathered rather large group of connections. Sneaking into a government building had been a lot easier than she thought. Just as she read more and more about her own government and its own doings in the past few years, the authorities had burst into the room. With her hands tied behind her back, and the sure certainty that she was to be condemned the death sentence, the President had walked into the room. He had offered her an agreement. She was to be freed from all charges, if she worked for him as an advisor. He had read her articles and had been impressed by her “suggestions” towards all the governments.

Know working for the government, all he movements are monitored. Celeste longs to uncover more about the Governments, but is unable to. If she is seen speaking to the same people she had before, suspicions that she is continuing old investigation would arise. With that risk, Celeste had to isolate herself from her former friends, connections, and family. Now she is surround with the likes of her ranking. Not that she minds too much, some are actually very intelligent and great conversationalists. If it weren’t for the fact that the only thing they focus is in the elimination of all Benders. She would speak out on her own thoughts and opinions on Benders, but Celeste knows that she would be executed for sure if she were to state that she finds Benders harmless.

One of the most Bender-killing obsessed people she had met so far is Desmond Amherst. She had known of him well before her job in the government. She knew well that everyone had a certain inclination towards him, and accepted him fully. But, she also very well knew his strong hatred for Benders. Though he continues to send her gifts with sweet cards. For a while, Celeste had found herself very flattered. But as the gifts continued to flow, she became weary. She didn’t want to be known for being a women who went after men with money. And the fact is, to her he is a very good company. She likes to speak with him, and she loves speaking about books with him. But his strong opinions towards Benders has led Celeste to believe he is just the same as the others in position.

A pompous ass is what Actis is. He will not stop to point out every flaw you have. He will bring it up in the most degrading tone and make you feel like dirt. He has a way with words, to manipulate people into doing what he wants them to do. However, that does not mean he isn’t prone to being manipulated himself. When you say the right words at the right time, you have him hooked. That’s why he hurts people and uses people before they do the same to him. That way, he can walk away from them as soon as he’s done. He’s very rude to people and barely has any friends because of this.

Being the Overseer of the Water Benders comes with a lot of responsibility, especially when you have no Elder. That is Actis’ case, his Elder is deceased and it is only him in charge of the Water Benders of EN. A reason for being chosen as an Overseer of the Water Benders would be that his mother was his Elder. Before his mother died, she saw him as a great Overseer. His bending was more advanced than his fellow Water Benders but his people skills had to be worked on. However, she died shortly after he was picked.

The death of his mother had an impact on him, and still has. His father was a Non Bender who fell in love with a Water Bender. Up to this day, Actis wishes to meet his father. “Is there actually a Non Bender who doesn’t hate Benders?” is something he wants to prove, because as of right now, it seems that every Bender thinks Non Benders are after them. They have every right to, he knows that, but he wants to prove people wrong. He wants to meet his father, and meet Non Benders who could help Benders fight against the human Governments.

Due to him not having an Elder, he does not need approval from anyone. If he thinks it’s good for EN, then he can do it. However, that does not mean his fellow Overseers let him do so. He highly dislikes the Overseers sometimes. With Anton addicted to drugs, Cersei being the psychotic bitch she is, and Lani always fighting with him; how could they get along? However, he’d listen to them for awhile before he shuts down everything they say and puts himself on a pedestal.

Actis sees Anton as a disgrace to Overseers. “Who would let their sister walk all over them? Hell, why the hell would someone do Dust?” is what he always asks Anton. He constantly tries to tell Anton what to do, but Anton is just as stubborn as he is. Cersei is someone he totally avoids. He knows how she is and knows she would have no problem taking one’s life. Lani is the Overseer he constantly argues with. He can see her point of view, and knows she is very logical. To a point, he does agree with her. However, her ideas are far too vast and hold high expectations. He believes the other Benders are not ready for such high expectations.

Bending wise, Actis is very skilled. It’s something he would like to flaunt but knows he shouldn’t. He won’t flaunt until he has reached his full potential. He will reach his full potential once he has mastered blood bending. Actis strives to blood bend, and constantly tries to do so. With no Elder, no one can teach him how to blood bend. He has not met one person who can blood bend, but has heard the stories and knows it’s possible. However, he keeps failing miserably. That won’t stop him though.

A supermodel and a daughter of a mayor, Kenzie Vauhn has no one to worry about but herself. Politics? She lacks in that region. Even though she is the daughter of a mayor, she has a very close-minded mind. “Benders are evil and deserve to die, simple as that,” would be her opinion on Benders.Which is very acceptable to society, if only she’d elaborate more. Since she is the daughter of the mayor of her town, she might as well excel in politics. However, that’s what she lacks in. If she were to be mayor, the city would fall apart. Kenzie could honestly care less.

Kenzie is a supermodel who’s name is known by everyone. She is gorgeous and is always in the right places to be seen. Her job is something she loves completely, because she loves being the center of attention. She was like that ever since she was a child, after her mother died. Having all eyes on her, everyone talking about her, is just great. There’s no such thing as bad publicity.

Her mother died of a sickness and after that, no one spoiled her like her mother did. Her father couldn’t stand the sight of her because she looked so much like her mother. Sometimes, Kenzie can’t stand it as well. When she looks in mirrors, she sees her mother on her death bed. She misses her mother immensely, and often visits her grave. She does not approve of any women her father sees. Kenzie sabotages her father’s relationships, and he’s well aware of it. However, he doesn’t do anything to stop her.

People see Kenzie’s ignorance as something that doesn’t pose as a threat. However, it’s quite the opposite. She can be rather destructive. Jealousy is a trait that shows on a daily basis. If someone is more attractive than her, she will automatically want plastic surgery. If someone has a nicer air carriage than her, she will demand a brand new one. It’s just how it goes with her. She becomes insanely jealous when it comes to her best friend, Declan Acciai. They have been friends since childhood, and Kenzie can’t stand the sight of Declan talking to another woman. She doesn’t know why, but Declan talking to another woman is just something she rather not think of. Her wrath will get the better of her.

When Kenzie was young, she wasn’t just Declan’s best friend. There was another girl who made them a trio. That would be Leilani Kahale. Leilani was a girl who was naturally pretty, and at first, Kenzie didn’t seem to mind. She was a good friend to both Declan and her. Declan started to be more open with Lani though. He started to hug her in front of Kenzie, playfully mess up her hair, invite Lani to the beach with them. Closer and closer Kenzie was driven to the edge. She started to dislike Lani for the attention she was getting from Declan. Especially since Declan stopped doing those things with her. However, she bit her tongue for a little bit and kept quiet.

One day, Declan informed Kenzie of what he found out. Lani was a Bender. Kenzie saw this as an opportunity to get Lani out of the picture. At the same time, she felt as if she was betraying a true friend. “It’s for me and Declan, I’m doing it for us,” she told her father what she had heard from Declan. Officials and the two of them formed a plan to capture Lani. For a few weeks, Kenzie and Declan would play it off as nothing happened. However, when Lani was vulnerable the officials would capture her.

Up to this day, Kenzie can remember what Lani said before she escaped. “If you think Benders are inhumane, look at what you’re doing,” what Kenzie was doing was inhumane. It was like caging an animal that was perfectly fine. That didn’t stop her from doing it though.

Eaves is the son of two Benders, his mother an Air Bender and his father an Earth Bender. Both of his parents were very loving and trusting people towards everyone. Once Lazarus Nouus had found EN, his family was one of the first to immediately relocate to the island. Since then, his parents had refused to, under all circumstances, leave the island. Although when he had been younger, he did not understand this, he now does.

And he had not been the only person who did not understand why his parents did not want to ever leave the island. Estelle, his younger sister, had been born on the island. Even at a young age she was too curious for her own good. She would always ask too many questions, too loudly. But being the baby of the family Estelle was kept from all dangers, including the dangers of knowing about the Anti Benders and anything connected with the outside world. Her only known world was the island and her parents had planned to keep it that way. But curiosity would eventually get the best of Eaves’ younger sister.

As an air train came back, Eaves had no choice but to tell his parents. They suddenly turned manic and all the colour had drained out of their faces. Eaves insisted on coming along with them, but they swiftly turned him down and had told him to go back to their home and wait until they came back to EN. As minutes turned into hours, he had grown impatient and decided to take the next air train. He wanted to help. He needed to. With determination, he landed on the main land for the first time in years. Then, he heard it. The cries of the people, the rejoice, the crowds of people hurdling towards the town square. Rapidly following the crowds and trying to blend in, he saw a group of Anti Benders and three figures in a metal cage. The three figures were ones that he knew very well. Eaves bit hard on his tongue. As much as he wanted to cry out loud for his family, he couldn’t. He couldn’t unless he too wanted to be thrown at the hands of Anti Benders. That day, he watched as his family screamed in the flames.

Since then, Eaves has barely spoken to much people. The doctors, the Elders, and most adults on Elemental Nature have tried to get him to speak to them about his family. At first they had all thought it was shock, so they did their best to keep him company. But as time moved on, they knew that he just refused to speak about anything in his past. He doesn’t speak to too many people. The only person he seems to be willing to speak to freely is Monet Acton.

He knows that most people try to stay away from her, but somehow he’s inclined to her. He often accompanies her to trips outside of EN. To Eaves, her personality reminds him of Estelle. They are both free spirited and don’t seem to have a care in the world. He misses those feelings, of not constantly worrying about everything. He feels at ease around Monet. He feels somewhat at home.

Monet is an eccentric, free spirited person. She doesn’t have a sense of moral responsibility nor a sense of what is dangerous and what isn’t. She likes to experience life at its fullest and does not like to deem on the consequences of her actions. This has gotten her in more than enough close encounters with being burned or hanged by the Anti Benders. And it’s these instances that most people don’t trust her to go outside of EN by herself. They believe that if she were ever captured by the Anti Benders and was questioned about her whereabouts, that she would gladly tell them about the coordinates to EN without any type of hesitation. Though, most of them aren’t willing to accompany her outside. Most are too afraid they would be ensnared with her and hung. All but one person, Eaves Lancaster.

Truth is, Monet is entirely trusted worthy when it comes to keeping Elemental Nature a complete secret. Since she had been the age of 13, her father had brought her to EN. Like most others, it was the only place she’s ever really felt at home. Her and her father had been shunned by both her siblings and her mother. Before she had been born, all children were born Non Bender, to her father’s relief and delight. He was able to keep his bending a secret from his wife, and children. Though upon Monet’s arrival, her father knew there was something different about her and her presence. Her chi was a lot stronger than the rest of the children. All of his suspicions were put to rest when he had seen her frolicking in a nearby field, air bending.

Her father was delighted in her talent, while her mother, on the other hand, had become livid. She had thrown a fit that night, taking all of her husband and daughter’s things and throwing out onto the streets. Young and confused, Monet had lost control of her bending had accidently thrown a handful of people ten feet away from where they had originally been standing. Bystanders had quickly contacted both the government and Anti Benders. The officials came fast and hard, but her father had done his best to fight them off. Quickly, he told her about the poem that had been circulating and told her to take it to heart. With the government and Anti Benders close behind them, and Monet being so unskilled at her bending, her father had done everything. Leaving him tired and vulnerable, but along the way they had met a Fire Bender name Theron Amsing. And the three eventually made their way to EN.

Monet is an exact replica of her father. Not only in personality and skill, but both have a love of music, and arts. Monet, being named after the late 1800s artist, loves colour and texture. She loves to express herself in anyway. She and her father have lived on EN for the past 8 years, but lately her father has fallen sick. Monet constantly tells her father that he needs to visit one of the doctors on the island, but his refusal is strong and always final. She has turned to Theron for help, whom over the years has basically become her family. He’s like a brother she’s never had. As her father’s illness only starts to increase, his resistance against help has increased as well. Monet is stuck between his wishes and what she knows will help him.

Aside from being known as being captured too many times, Monet is also known for her skill in Air Bending. She is one of the trainers for Air, and many love being trained by her. Not only does she teach well, they always tend to have a small adventure or a great time. She has a certain quality about the that makes most people feel trust, a sort of motherly feeling. Though, Monet doesn’t mind at all. She knows that most people on the island have never really had a real family, such as her. Because of this, there are times were she tries to help too much and gets too nosy within other’s space.

Aislin, or known as Lynn, is an aspiring actress in the North Territory. With her beauty and talent, no one would expect she’s a Bender. She has appeared in movies and commercials, advertisements as well. Out of every 5 humans, two of them have heard about Aislin Grey. She’s a model as well, and the face of a handful of companies. However, if they found out she is a Water Bender, everything would crush. Aislin is always scared that someone will find out about her ability, and even though she knows it’s normal for her, she’s still terrified at what she can do.

The public sees Aislin as a talented aristocrat taking care of herself and her sister, Rinona Grey. Rinona is Lynn’s world. They are four years apart yet Lynn sees her as almost a daughter. Their parents passed away when they were both so young by an accident. They have been on their own since then, only relying on themselves for help and support. They have a very strong bond. When Rinona was growing up, Lynn would read her the poem to EN. She told her sister the cruel reality of being a Bender, and prepared her for running away at anytime.

The death of her parents affected her mildly. She always relied on herself even if they were around. In their eyes, she was overly independent. Something they admired in their own daughter. However, their deaths still affected her. For awhile, she was stuck and had no idea how to support herself and her sister at the same time. She went from job to job, from waitress to librarian. Anything that could pay her enough for bread and cheese was good enough. When a cafe’ she worked at asked her to be on a poster, she gladly excepted. One day, a young man stumbled onto the poster in the window and immediately came in. He wanted to see Lynn so badly it almost startled her. He offered her a modeling job, and she was blown away. Of course, she accepted.

The man is Declan Acciai, her agent. They have a very strong relationship. They are very close friends, in and out of business. However, Declan is a Non Bender. Lynn cannot have Declan finding out about her ability, but for some reason, she feels she could trust him. At the same time, she doesn’t want to risk it. Especially since her sister is missing. Rinona has been missing since a month ago, and Lynn is having a panic attack every day. The last time she saw her sister was in the morning before a photo shoot asleep in bed. When Lynn came back that night, her sister vanished. She is absolutely devastated and wants to know where her sister is. However, Lynn believes she has escaped to EN.

“But why?” she asks herself. She provided Rinona a great life, sent her to school while she took care of everything. Why would she want to run away? Also, how did she run away? Up to this day, Lynn cannot understand the poem to EN. Though, if her sister truly is in EN, she wants to be there with her. She would sacrifice everything just for Rinona. At the same time, she doesn’t want to leave Declan.

Lynn is a very sweet and down to earth girl. She is well aware of the public executions of Benders but would rather pretend to be oblivious. She wants nothing to do with the government, she just wants to survive. Aislin is a very fickle girl, doesn’t know what she really wants in life besides to exist. The public sees her as a very bold and kind girl, always going to charities and social gatherings. Deep inside, she just wants to be home with a nice cup of coffee.

Being the heir to his family’s fortune, Desmond seems like he has no problems. He doesn’t even have to worry about his appearance, everyone will love him either way. However, there are certain things that irritate him to no end. Those things, would be Benders. He is just irritated by the name of them. As if they own everything and can run around with their horrendous powers. They are freaks of nature to him. He helps fund the East Government to track down the Benders and destroy EN. He wants them off the face of the world.

Once you get to know him, under all that body art is a real person with real power. He is charming and is a ladies’ man. Desmond is always in the right place at the right time. When to be seen and when to disappear. He just knows, like it’s as natural to him as breathing. He was destined for the limelight, and he got it. It’s a good thing for the humans. Such a unique man who’s not afraid to stand up for what he believes is right, it’s horrible for Benders because he will be the death of them.

When Desmond isn’t sending money to the Government as a very generous donation, he is spoiling a specific girl. That would be Celeste Irelan. Ever since he has laid eyes on her, he’s wanted her. Sure, other women would want him for his money and charm, but he just wants her. It’s just the way she is that keeps him wanting more. He has no idea why though. He isn’t the kind of man that would pine over a woman. However, he finds himself always buying her lavish gifts and sending them over to her with sweet little cards. If she wanted it, he would get it to her in a heart beat. He would give her the world if she wanted.

If anyone were to approach him about his feelings towards her, however, he would avoid the subject. All he says is, “She is definitely a fine woman,” and says nothing else. He is rather confused on what he feels towards her. Since this isn’t normal of him, he doesn’t know whether or not he should avoid her or keep her close.

Personality wise, Desmond is a very civil and simple person. He is motivated and is very active in projects he believes projects his personal views. Books is something he’s always enjoyed reading. He dislikes the holo-books people have nowadays. Holograms of books, he much rather sit down in a library somewhere and read with no distraction. It’s as if he has passion in everything he does. Everything he does, he likes. Everything he doesn’t, he wouldn’t think twice about.

However, he is aware of people’s feelings towards his strong opinions. He doesn’t take those feelings to heart, but to mind. Desmond only takes Celeste’s feelings to heart, and knows she is drawn back by his hatred towards Benders. However, he doesn’t exactly know what to do about it. It’s his opinion, shouldn’t he have the right to boast about them? Then again, it’s Celeste. He’s made it a goal to refrain talking about his opinion on Benders around her. Which is a good and bad thing. A bad thing because people frequently ask him about Benders when he’s around her. A good thing because he can now talk to her about the simple things in life, like books.

Desmond wants to keep his eye on the prize. The total obliteration of all Benders. He is currently funding for the government project UPROAR. UPROAR is a secret project that has gone on for two years. The government is currently making super Anti Benders, the perfect secret agent. They have enhanced abilities to take on Benders, to be a perfect soldier. Desmond is currently contemplating if he would become an UPROAR. He wants to help the cause, but at the same time, he doesn’t want to become inhumane like Benders. He also believes the project is hypocritical, however, if it gets rid of Benders then he has no problem with it.

Alright guys, we’re officially releasing the first batch of characters this week. There’s a good chance that we are releasing them tomorrow, since we only have one more character to write. However, we’re going to proof-read the rest of the characters we have as well. The following batches will be released in a smoother manner, seeing that we have a good amount of them done already. I hope you haven’t lost faith in us! We have characters made. No worries. :)
